Bangladesh · Cosmetics Packaging · Mascara Wand Assembly Machine
A mascara wand is two small black parts: a stem and the brush that fits onto it — in the video, the vibratory bowl is heaped with them. For a customer in Bangladesh, we supplied a machine for this two-part assembly. The bowl sorts the black parts and sends them down a straight feed track, past sensors along the way, to the assembly station, where each brush is fitted onto its stem. The finished wand leaves the machine in one piece, ready to be packed, at about 25 wands a minute — roughly 1,500 an hour. Filmed at the pre-shipment inspection, the video follows the parts from the bowl down the feed track and ends on a carton of finished wands, one of them held up to show the brush seated on its stem. The machine has since shipped to Bangladesh and is now in production at the customer's plant.
Configured for one customer's parts, as each of our assembly machines is. Send us your drawing or photos and we will tell you if we can assemble your parts, and how quickly.
