The cap in this job is a green two-piece disc top cap. For a customer in the UAE, we supplied a machine that assembles the two pieces into one finished cap. A vibratory bowl, heaped with green caps, feeds the parts out along a track, while flat green discs travel towards the table on twin lanes behind a blue guard. On the rotary table each cap stands upright in its own round black holder, and the two pieces are pressed together as the table indexes round from station to station; finished caps slide down a stainless steel chute straight into cartons beside the machine. Rated output is 4,800 finished caps per hour. At the end of the video a finished cap is held up to the camera — one green cap, with the disc top closed flat on the body — and the machine is now in use on the customer's production line in the UAE.
