Pakistan · Hair Care Packaging · Flip-Top Cap Closing Machine
Flip-top caps leave the mould with the lid standing open, and each one has to be snapped shut before the cap can go on a bottle. For a customer in Pakistan, we supplied an automatic flip-top cap closing machine for shampoo caps. In the video the machine stands right beside an injection moulding machine. The moulding machine's robot sets each shot of 8 caps onto a fixture plate, and the closing machine shuts all 8 lids in one go. The closing machine can handle up to 6,000 caps an hour. On this line it is matched to the customer's 8-cavity mould on a 20-second cycle — its speed is set by the mould, about 1,440 caps an hour. Another clip from this job shows red-lidded caps held in a row on a fixture plate, and a finished cap in hand at the end, its red lid snapped down onto the white base. The machine is now closing caps in production at the customer's site.
Every assembly machine we supply is configured around the customer's own parts. Send us a drawing or photos of yours, and we will tell you whether we can run them and at what rate.
